A heating coil

A heating coil is a specific type of heat exchanger or heater that is used to transfer heat from one medium to another. This design is called a "spiral" because of its basic structure, which consists of bent tubes or pipes in a spiral shape.

Advantages of the spiral in heating:

Low maintenance costs: Heating coils tend to be reliable and have low maintenance costs, meaning they require little or no maintenance during their operation.

Quick response to temperature regulation: Because they have a relatively small volume of water or other heat transfer medium, they tend to respond quickly to changes in temperature. This means they can be effective in quickly changing heating or cooling needs.

Use of the spiral in heating:

Heating: Coils are often used in heating systems where they transfer heat from hot water or steam to the space to be heated.

Water heating: They are used for heating hot water in hot water tanks or on instantaneous water heating.

Solar water heaters: Coils are often used in solar water heating systems where sunlight heats water in tubes or pipes.

Cooling: In some cases, coils are used for cooling, with cold fluid or air circulating around the heating coil to lower the temperature.
