IVAR CS spol. s r.o. has been active in water filtration and treatment for more than 15 years. The core product range consists of mechanical impurity filters, in particular the DEPURA filter line from the Italian manufacturer GEL Hydrotechnology. For water treatment, sophisticated, fully automatic column filters equipped with CLACK control units, manufactured in the United States, are supplied. Water treatment is complemented by expert advice on cleaning heat-exchange surfaces, domestic hot water systems, heat exchangers and other equipment, including hot-water units. For this purpose, a full range of professional chemical products, cleaning pumps and products for extending the service life and efficiency of systems is supplied. - Which type of filter should I choose to protect a boiler from mechanical impurities? For standard protection, a mechanical filter with a replaceable cartridge (5", 10") is sufficient; for a higher level of sediment, we recommend a cyclone desludging filter or a magnetic separator.
- How often should the filter cartridge be replaced? The interval depends on the quality of the incoming water, typically 3 - 6 months; replace the cartridge sooner if you notice a drop in flow.
- Can mechanical filtration be combined with limescale protection? Yes, a common setup is a mechanical filter together with an anti-scale device (magnetic, galvanic, or Siliphos dosing) in a single section of pipework.
- Are filters and UV lamps also suitable for drinking water systems? Yes, part of the range (GEL.DEPURA filters, sterilizing UV lamps, reverse osmosis) is intended directly for treating drinking water.
