Air conditioning is a device used primarily to cool residential spaces through an air/air compressor refrigeration circuit; most units use an inverter compressor that allows smooth power modulation. Depending on the design, you can choose from classic split versions by the Italian manufacturer EMMETI, where the outdoor unit (condenser) is located outside and the indoor unit (evaporator) inside the cooled space. Installation requires the services of a refrigeration technician. You can also choose a progressive design without an outdoor unit – these are the Italian INNOVA 2.0 products. Their advantage is that the entire mechanical system is located indoors and there is no outdoor unit at all. Installation of these units does not require a refrigeration technician. All our units also support a heating mode, although in most cases only to a limited extent.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between split air conditioning and a ductless solution? Split air conditioning has an outdoor unit (condenser) located outside the building and requires installation by a refrigeration technician; the ductless solution (IVAR.2.0) has the entire mechanical system indoors and does not require a refrigeration technician for installation.
- Can air conditioning also be used for heating? Most of our units also offer a heating mode, but usually only as a supplementary heat source with limited output, not as a replacement for the main heating system.
- What accessories are available for air conditioning? Our range includes bottom covers and rain/insect protection kits for IVAR.2.0 units.
