Polybutylene pipes for underfloor heating, DIY installation
Polybutylene - the oldest and still the best-proven material for heating and water distribution. All pipes are manufactured with an EVOH oxygen barrier, which prevents oxygen molecules from penetrating into the heating system itself. After a few years, oxygen causes corrosion of the boiler and deterioration of the heating system. The oxygen barrier prevents this problem. Pipes are manufactured in diameters of 16 and 20 mm; larger diameters are not used for underfloor heating.
