Underfloor heating
Underfloor heating delivers even warmth without radiators or visible pipework – it works as a main as well as a supplementary heat source, in new builds and in renovations alike.
Our range includes water-based (hydronic) systems (system boards, polystyrene, pipework, manifolds) connected to a boiler or a heat pump, as well as electric underfloor heating (heating cables, mats, thermostats), which is easy to retrofit – for example in a bathroom.
When choosing, the key factors are whether it will be the main or a supplementary heat source, the available build-up height and the floor area you want to heat. You will find the difference between water-based and electric systems, between the wet and dry installation methods, and the most common installation mistakes in our underfloor heating knowledge centre.

- What's the difference between water-based and electric underfloor heating? Water-based (hydronic) heating is connected to a boiler/heat pump and requires system boards with pipes; electric heating runs on heating cables or mats connected directly to the mains.
- Do I always need system boards for underfloor heating? For water-based (hydronic) heating, yes – the boards (polystyrene) hold the pipes at the correct spacing and insulate heat downward. For electric heating, a thin insulating foil is enough.
- Can underfloor heating be used as the sole heat source? Yes, in a well-insulated house it's a common solution; elsewhere it's combined with radiators.
- How long does it take to heat up the floor? With a water-based system, a few hours due to heat accumulation in the screed; electric mats respond faster.
