Wigell foil is a reflective underlay foil designed for underfloor heating, which significantly increases the efficiency of your heating system. It consists of two layers – a polyethylene layer and an aluminum reflective foil. This allows effective reflection of radiant heat back into the room and reduces heat loss into the substrate.

Installation

The reflective foil for underfloor heating is laid with the reflective side facing up (towards the heat source) on a polystyrene base. This creates an air gap that supports the reflective effect. You can cut the reflective foil with scissors to the desired size. It also serves as a separating barrier against the concrete layer leaking into the insulation and creating thermal bridges.

For attaching the floor system pipes, clips are used, which are installed using a stapler. Also use expansion tapes, which serve to separate the concrete layer from the vertical wall.

Packaging and delivery method

The foil is sold in a roll with a length of 50 m. We will deliver the product to you by standard parcel shipping and it will be packaged so that it is not damaged during transport. The actual packaging method depends on the number of ordered pieces and other items in the order. A single foil will most often be packed in stretch foil.
