Flanged ball valve - series 02, for water, stainless steel - DN 20; L=120mm
This category includes stainless steel and flanged fittings of the IVAR and BRA range intended for professional and industrial installations – ball valves, check valves, filters, expansion joints and shut-off valves in sizes from DN 15 to DN 300 (or 1/4" to 4" for threaded versions).
The stainless steel version (AISI 316, A351 CF8M) is suitable for drinking water, the food and chemical industry, oils and hydrocarbons. Flanged cast-iron fittings (PN 10/PN 16 according to STN EN 1092-1) cover common heating, air-conditioning and water supply systems. Connection is threaded (ISO 228-1) or flanged, and a large part of the range can be fitted with an electric actuator according to ISO 5211.
When choosing a fitting, it is necessary to consider primarily the DN size, working pressure and medium temperature, the type of connection (thread/flange) and the seal material (PTFE, EPDM, NBR, FKM) according to the medium being conveyed.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between a stainless steel and a cast-iron (flanged) fitting? Stainless steel fittings (AISI 316) are intended for more aggressive media, drinking water, the food and chemical industry. Flanged cast-iron fittings are standard for common heating and water supply systems where stainless steel is not necessary.
- Can the fittings be fitted with an electric actuator? Most flanged ball valves and butterfly valves allow mounting of an electric actuator according to ISO 5211; the specific torque can be found in the parameters of the given series.
- What DN sizes are available? The range covers sizes from DN 15 (1/4") for threaded fittings up to DN 300 for flanged versions.
- Are the fittings suitable for steam? Most standard ball valves and butterfly valves are not intended for steam or flow control – suitability for a specific medium is always stated in the product parameters.
