F8 series rubber expansion joints are mounted between pipe flanges and dampen vibrations, noise transmission and expansion movements caused by temperature changes in the pipework of heating, cooling and air-conditioning systems. The body of the expansion joint is made of flexible NBR rubber, and sizes are available from DN 32 to DN 150 and higher.
Expansion joints are most often fitted near pumps, where they eliminate the transmission of vibrations into the pipework and reduce stress on flanged joints. When ordering, the DN size, face-to-face length and seal material must be taken into account according to the medium being conveyed.
