Plastic-aluminium and other pipes and tubing for radiator heating
Pipes suitable for heating distribution systems. Such pipes and tubing must contain an oxygen barrier, which prevents oxygen molecules from penetrating the heating system. The oxygen barrier usually consists of aluminium or, for polybutylene pipe, a special EVOH barrier. The pipe must be sufficiently resistant to the high temperatures that can occur in radiator heating.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between compression and press fittings? Compression fittings are installed without special tools, just tighten them with a wrench, while press fittings require a pressing tool.
- Is this pipe also suitable for underfloor heating? Part of the range, yes, but for underfloor heating we recommend the underfloor heating pipe category.
- Does pipe for radiator heating need an oxygen barrier? Yes, it protects the radiators and other metal parts of the system from corrosion caused by oxygen penetration.
