In this category you will find older model ranges of controls and room thermostats from manufacturers such as Vaillant, Protherm and others. These are not inferior products – they are proven controls that were manufactured (and in many cases still are manufactured) for older boiler series, and they have been reliably serving many households for decades.
The main reason we keep these controls in stock is the need for an exact replacement in the event of a fault or when replacing the original thermostat with the same (or directly compatible) type, without having to change the boiler's entire control system. Here you will find, for example, the Vaillant calorMATIC range (360f, 392, 392f, 430, 430f, 630/3) or Protherm Thermolink and Instat plus (also available in a wireless version).
When choosing a replacement, we always recommend verifying the exact type of the original boiler and controller – individual ranges are often not mutually interchangeable due to different communication protocols between the boiler and the controller (e.g. eBUS for Vaillant/Protherm). - Why buy an "older" control if newer models exist? Because it must be compatible with the communication protocol of the specific older boiler – a newer control that communicates differently would not work with it.
- Can a universal thermostat be used instead of the original control? For boilers communicating via a bus (e.g. eBUS), usually not – a control from the boiler manufacturer's list of compatible types is needed.
- How do I find out which type of control I need? The most reliable way is to compare it with the original control (the type designation on the back) or contact us with your boiler's type.
- Do you also supply wireless versions? Yes, for example the Protherm Instat plus is also available in a wireless version, with no need to run a cable to the boiler.
