Stationary (floor-standing) low-temperature boilers stand directly on the ground and, thanks to their more robust construction, generally achieve higher outputs than wall-mounted boilers. Thanks to durable cast iron heat exchangers, they have long been used mainly for heating family houses, cottages, small businesses and smaller industrial spaces where a higher heat output is needed or where the boiler is connected to an existing chimney system.
This is classic (non-condensing) gas combustion technology. Compared to condensing boilers, low-temperature boilers achieve lower operating efficiency, as they do not utilise the heat contained in the water vapour of the flue gases. Since 2015, the European Union's Ecodesign (ErP) regulation has been in force, setting minimum efficiency requirements for heating appliances placed on the market – condensing boilers are therefore now the standard for new installations. The low-temperature boilers in our offer meet current legislative requirements, but we recommend them mainly as a replacement for the same type of boiler in older heating systems, where switching to condensing technology would require major intervention in the system (e.g. modification of flue gas discharge, condensate drainage or replacement of radiators).

- What is the difference between a low-temperature and a condensing boiler? A condensing boiler also utilises the heat contained in the water vapour of the flue gases, and therefore achieves higher efficiency. A low-temperature (classic) boiler does not use this heat, so its efficiency is lower.
- Is it still possible to buy a low-temperature gas boiler in Slovakia today? Yes, the boilers in this category meet the current requirements of the EU Ecodesign regulation. However, for new installations it is recommended to primarily consider a condensing boiler, which is now the standard thanks to its higher efficiency.
- Who are stationary low-temperature boilers most suitable for? Mainly for customers who are replacing an old cast iron boiler with the same type without modifying the flue gas discharge, or who need higher output for a larger building, cottage or business premises.
- What is the difference between a stationary and a wall-mounted boiler? A stationary boiler stands on the ground, is larger and generally offers higher output. A wall-mounted boiler is mounted on the wall and is more compact, suitable especially for smaller spaces.
- What boiler output should I choose? The output depends on the heat loss of the building, its area and insulation. When replacing an old boiler, the original output is a good guide; if in doubt, we recommend consulting a designer or our sales team.
