climaVAIR multi VAM1 outdoor units allow 2 to 5 individually controlled indoor units to be connected into a single system, which is an advantage when air conditioning several rooms with a single outdoor heat exchanger on the facade or on the ground. climaVAIR pro VAIB1 wall-mounted indoor units can be used both in this multi-split configuration and separately within an existing mono-split set. Refrigerant piping with UV-resistant insulation completes the installation with certified connecting material between the units.
Frequently asked questions
- Can indoor units of different sizes be combined on one outdoor unit? Yes, with VAM1 multi-split outdoor units it is common to combine indoor units of different outputs according to the needs of the individual rooms, within the total output limit of the outdoor unit.
- Does the piping have to be from Vaillant, or is standard refrigerant piping sufficient? We recommend genuine or equally high-quality insulated copper piping with sufficient insulation thickness and UV resistance, especially when routed outside the interior.
- Who may connect the units and fill the refrigerant circuit? The connection and evacuation of the circuit may only be carried out by a company certified to work with F-gases (R32 refrigerant).
