This category includes multilayer and PEX pipes from the IVAR brand, intended for central heating, underfloor heating and drinking water distribution. The pipes are supplied in straight lengths and coils, in diameters from 16 to 75 mm, either with an aluminium insert (multilayer) or without one (PEX).
The IVAR.ALPEX and IVAR.TURATEC multilayer pipes combine a layer of polyethylene, aluminium and cross-linked polyethylene, which reduces thermal expansion and allows bending to smaller radii without a spring. IVAR.PE-Xa, Xc pipes are intended mainly for underfloor heating with an oxygen barrier. Connections are made using IVAR.TA/RA compression fittings or press fittings.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between multilayer and PEX pipe? Multilayer pipe has an aluminium layer that reduces thermal expansion and holds its shape after bending. PEX pipe is entirely plastic, more flexible, with an oxygen barrier for underfloor heating.
- What connection method is used? Compression fittings (IVAR.TA, RA, TP, RP series) or press fittings (IVAR.PT, PPSU, AC series), depending on the pipe type.
- Are the pipes also suitable for drinking water? Yes, IVAR multilayer pipes have a hygiene certificate for drinking water.
- In what packaging are the pipes supplied? In straight lengths (e.g. 5 m) or in coils of various lengths, depending on the diameter and type - see the exact packaging for individual products.
