Reducing T-pieces for do-it-yourself heating systems, drinking water installation
Demountable T-pieces. Used for joining polybutylene pipe and copper pipe. Can be used for radiator heating, drinking water and underfloor heating systems. The internal jaws grip the pipe and prevent it from being pulled out. To disassemble, simply unlock the coupling with a special tool and remove the pipe. T-pieces are mainly used to add another branch from the heating line, whether under a radiator or for additional drinking water outlets.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How does a reducing T-piece differ from a standard one? A reducing T-piece has at least one outlet with a different diameter than the other two, allowing a branch to a thinner pipe.
- When would I use a reducing T-piece? For example, when branching off from a 22 mm main line to a 15 mm radiator connection.
- Are the joints demountable? Yes, just like the other HEPWORTH fittings, the joints can be taken apart repeatedly.
