Pipe support inserts for the Hepworth system - DIY heating installation
Aluminium pipe support inserts are used to reinforce the pipe and to shape it into a precise circle. They also calibrate the pipe end, covering sharp edges left after cutting.
These support inserts must always be used at both ends of the pipe when creating a joint.

- for a coupling or elbow with a diameter of 15 mm, choose 2 pieces with a diameter of 15 mm
- for a t-piece with a diameter of 22 mm, choose 3 pieces with a diameter of 22 mm
- for a 15 x 1/2 reducer, choose one support insert with a diameter of 15 mm
- it is best to count all couplings of the same size, elbows and reducers, and then multiply by the number of ends (t-piece: 3, couplings: 2, etc.)
- in any case, we always check your order to make sure the selected inserts match the ordered quantities
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a support insert used for? It is inserted inside the pipe at the joint to reinforce it and prevent it from deforming or getting squeezed during the fitting installation.
- Is an insert needed at every joint? For some softer pipe types it is recommended - check the installation manual for the specific pipe type for the exact procedure.
