Assembly wrench - for removing GEL.DEPURA CYCLON BABY, BABY, DOSAPHOS 250 filters
Listing controls
Cyclone desludging filters use a centrifugal principle to separate mechanical impurities (sand, rust, sludge) from the water flow without the need to replace a filter cartridge. Impurities collect in the lower desludging chamber and are drained periodically via a drain valve, so the system runs practically maintenance-free compared to classic mesh filters.
The range includes cyclone filters in 4", 5" and 10" sizes with threaded connections (1/2" to 2") as well as with union nuts for easy removal during servicing, including assembly wrenches for the GEL.DEPURA CYCLON filter range.
Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between a cyclone filter and a regular mechanical filter? A cyclone filter separates impurities using centrifugal force and collects them in a desludging chamber, while a mechanical filter captures impurities on a replaceable cartridge that has to be changed periodically.
- How is a cyclone filter cleaned? Accumulated impurities are drained by opening the drain valve at the bottom of the filter, without needing to remove the whole housing.
- What connections are available for cyclone filters? From 1/2"F to 2"M, including variants with and without union nuts for different types of installation.
- Is additional accessory equipment needed for installation? A special assembly wrench, available separately, is used to remove GEL.DEPURA CYCLON BABY and DOSAPHOS 250 filters.
