The Vaillant uniTOWER system (in both plus and Split plus versions) is a compact hydraulic module in the shape of a tower with a footprint comparable to a standard refrigerator, which in one enclosure combines a hot water tank with a volume of 190 l, a complete heating hydraulic system, a backup electric heater and a control unit. The module is connected to the outdoor (or indoor, in the case of the Split version) unit of the air-to-water heat pump in the aroTHERM / aroTHERM plus / aroTHERM Split system and is responsible for distributing heat to the heating circuit and preparing hot water. That is why, since most of the components are integrated directly into the tower body, Vaillant offers a range of supplementary, connecting and service parts for the module, which allow the hydraulics to be adapted to a specific installation – ceiling height, side of connection, need for hot water circulation or additional hydraulic separation of circuits.

Heat pump aroTHERM and location of the module in the system

Heat pumps of the aroTHERM / aroTHERM plus / aroTHERM Split range extract heat from the air even at low outdoor temperatures and transfer it to the heating circuit and to the hot water tank via the uniTOWER module. How to correctly determine the side (left/right)

The side is determined by standard from the perspective of the installation technician standing facing the uniTOWER module, according to which side the connecting pipes are led out from the floor or wall of the technical room.
