Detailed information

Product detailed description

– 25 kW gasification boiler for brown coal and wood – COMBI with induced draught fan and cooling loop

It is designed for burning brown coal and wood as a backup fuel (for heating), based on the principle of generator gasification using an induced draught fan (S), which extracts flue gases from the boiler.
The boiler body is made as a welded construction from quality steel sheets 3 to 6 mm thick. It consists of two chambers positioned one above the other, the upper one serving as a fuel hopper, the lower one as a combustion chamber and ash pan. Between them is placed a new, patent-protected, rotating grate, which enables perfect fuel gasification and easy ash removal. In the rear part of the boiler body there is a vertical flue gas duct, fitted at the top with a lighting flap. The upper part of the flue gas duct is fitted with an exhaust neck for connection to the chimney.

Basic technical data Atmos C25ST:

  • output: 25 kW
  • required chimney draught: 23 Pa
  • boiler weight: 379 kg
  • water volume: 68 L
  • hopper volume: 100 dm3
  • electrical input: 50 W
  • connection voltage: 230/50 V/Hz
  • prescribed fuel: brown coal nut 1 with calorific value 17 – 20 MJ/kg-1
  • backup fuel: dry wood with calorific value 15 – 18 MJ/kg-1, diameter 80 – 120 mm and moisture content 12 – 20 %
  • max. wood length: 330 mm
  • minimum return water temperature during operation: 65 °C
  • flue gas temperature at rated output: 164 °C
  • combustion class: 5
  • suitable connection ATMOS F2 Laddomat + PSC25-35

Advantages of ATMOS gasification coal boilers:

  • ability to burn quality brown coal and wood as a backup fuel
  • large fuel hopper = long burning time
  • high efficiency 81 – 88 % depending on type – primary and secondary air is preheated to a high temperature
  • more environmentally friendly combustion – boiler according to ČSN EN 303-5 class 5, ECODESIGN 2015/1189
  • induced draught fan – dust-free ash removal, dust-free boiler room
  • cooling loop against overheating – no risk of boiler damage
  • automatic boiler shutdown after fuel burns out – flue gas thermostat
  • convenient ash removal – large ceramic combustion space for ash (coal ash removed once a day, wood ash removed once a week)
  • boiler without a tube – easier cleaning
  • small dimensions and low weight
  • high quality

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How to choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Start from the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but with wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output during a single loading - it is therefore common practice to supplement the boiler with a storage (buffer) tank, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a storage (buffer) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulation valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler output - exact draught values can be found in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually piece wood of a defined length and moisture content, or possibly brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or excessively moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases the formation of tar and deposits, and can damage the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is legally required - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular ash removal and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas passages from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually a matter of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with open flame, high temperatures and pressurized components, where a connection error can be a safety risk.
