Detailed information

Product detailed description

- 25 kW for brown coal (wood), modified for a pellet burner /7-24 kW/ in the top door

- the boiler is designed so that its body is made by welding quality steel sheets 3 to 8 mm thick, consisting of an upper chamber fitted at the top with a door with an opening for installing a pellet burner, and at the bottom with a rotating cast-iron grate for easy ash removal. The lower space is lined with ceramic mouldings for ideal burn-out of all combustible substances with high efficiency and environmentally friendly combustion, and also serves as an ash pan.

Warning!! Option to order a left- or right-hand opening version.
This must be stated in the order notes.

Basic technical data for the Atmos C25ST UPR:

  • boiler output on pellets: 7-24 kW,
    efficiency 91.1%
  • boiler output on coal: 25 kW,
    efficiency 88.9%
  • required chimney draught: 23 Pa
  • boiler weight: 379 kg
  • water volume: 68 L
  • hopper volume: 90 dm3
  • prescribed fuel, pellets:
quality wood pellets with a diameter of 6-8 mm / brown coal (nut size 1)
    (backup fuel: wood)
  • combustion class: 5
  • energy efficiency class:
    A+ (pellets) / C (coal)

Note: The boiler is supplied without a burner.
The boiler is supplied with two AD03 modules for controlling the boiler's extraction fan and the pump in the boiler circuit, and two TV and TS sensors (2x KTF20-5m) for controlling operation according to two temperatures on the buffer tank, plus a TK boiler temperature sensor (KTF20).

Use a conveyor at least 2 m long!

Accessories needed for the boiler:

A25 burner
DA screw conveyor
- various lengths

pellet tank - various

Advantages of a built-in burner in a standard boiler:

  • simple and affordable solution
  • option to heat comfortably with pellets
    without manual loading
  • option to connect to a large hopper
    for pellets = refuelling
once every 7-14 days / once a year
  • convenient, dust-free ash removal with the extraction fan
    once every 7–30 days
  • automatic pellet ignition
    with an ignition coil
  • anti-overheating cooling loop
= no risk of boiler damage
  • automatic boiler shutdown
once the fuel has burned out
  • small dimensions and modern design

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I choose the right output for a solid-fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the building being heated; however, for wood/coal boilers also bear in mind that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output on a single load - so it is common practice to add a buffer tank to the boiler, which stores surplus heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system generally also requires: a buffer (storage) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve to prevent low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught matching the boiler output - you will find the exact chimney draught values in the technical parameters above.
  • Which fuel is suitable and which isn't? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually split logs of a defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or overly damp fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit build-up, and can damage the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), the law requires the chimney to be inspected/cleaned by an authorised chimney sweep - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler need? This usually involves regularly removing ash and cleaning soot from the heating surfaces/flue gas passages (the interval depends on intensity of use, typically a matter of weeks), plus a thorough annual check including seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety devices should be carried out, or at least professionally checked, by a heating technician - this is an appliance with an open flame, high temperatures and pressurised components, where a wiring/connection error can be a safety risk.
