Detailed information

Product detailed description

– 32 kW gasification boiler for brown coal and wood – COMBI with induced draft fan and cooling loop

It is designed for burning brown coal and wood as a backup fuel (for heating up), based on the principle of generator gasification using an induced draft fan (S), which extracts flue gases from the boiler.
The boiler body is made as a welded construction from quality steel sheets 3 to 6 mm thick. It consists of two chambers stacked on top of each other, the upper one serving as a fuel hopper, the lower one as a combustion chamber and ash pan. Between them is placed a new, patent-protected, rotating grate, which enables perfect gasification of the fuel and easy ash removal. At the rear of the boiler body there is a vertical flue gas duct, fitted at the top with an ignition flap. The top of the flue gas duct is fitted with an exhaust neck for connection to the chimney.

Basic technical data Atmos C32ST:

  • output: 32 kW
  • prescribed chimney draft: 25 Pa
  • boiler weight: 415 kg
  • water volume: 74 L
  • hopper volume: 125 dm3
  • electrical input: 50 W
  • connection voltage: 230/50 V/Hz
  • prescribed fuel: brown coal (nut 1 grade) with calorific value 17 – 20 MJ/kg-1
  • backup fuel: dry wood with calorific value 15 – 18 MJ/kg-1, diameter 80 – 120 mm and moisture content 12 – 20 %
  • max. wood length: 430 mm
  • minimum return water temperature during operation: 65 °C
  • flue gas temperature at rated output: 181 °C
  • combustion class: 5
  • suitable connection ATMOS F2 Laddomat + PSC25-35

Advantages of ATMOS gasification coal boilers:

  • ability to burn quality brown coal and wood as a backup fuel
  • large fuel hopper = long burning time
  • high efficiency 81 – 88 % depending on type – primary and secondary air is preheated to a high temperature
  • more environmentally friendly combustion – boiler according to EN 303-5 class 5, ECODESIGN 2015/1189
  • induced draft fan – dust-free ash removal, dust-free boiler room
  • cooling loop against overheating – no risk of boiler damage
  • automatic shutdown of the boiler after the fuel burns out – flue gas thermostat
  • convenient ash removal – large ceramic combustion chamber for ash (coal is removed once a day, wood once a week)
  • boiler without a tube – easier cleaning
  • small dimensions and low weight
  • high quality

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How to choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but with wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output during a single fill - it is therefore common practice to add a buffer tank to the boiler, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system generally requires: a buffer (equalizing) tank of adequate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draft corresponding to the boiler output - exact draft values can be found in the technical parameters above.
  • Which fuel is suitable and which is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually split wood of defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can cause damage to the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular ash removal and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually a matter of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney, and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with an open flame, high temperatures, and pressurized elements, where a connection error can pose a safety risk.
