ATMOS D 20 PX
Code: D20PXProduct detailed description
- 4.5-20 kW compact ecological automatic pellet boiler
ATMOS DP20PX is supplied as a complete unit with a built-in conveyor, pellet storage tank with a volume of 175 L
and a ATMOS A25 pellet burner
Its compact design allows installation in small boiler rooms.
The boiler is designed for electronically controlled pellet combustion with automatic fuel ignition. The pellet burner is built into the front part of the boiler in the door of the lower combustion chamber. This chamber is lined with ceramic shapes for ideal flame burnout with high efficiency and also serves as a space for ash. In the rear part of the boiler there is a tube heat exchanger fitted with segmented turbulators with a rough (operational) cleaning function without the need to remove them.
The boiler body is made as a welded structure of steel sheets 3 – 5 mm thick. On the outside it is thermally insulated with mineral felt and Sibral insulation, placed under the sheet metal covers of the boiler's outer casing.
In the upper part there is a fuel storage tank, from which pellets are transported to the burner by means of a screw conveyor. Fuel dosing is fully automatically controlled. In the front part of the boiler there is a panel with a main switch, a pellet burner switch for cleaning purposes, an operating thermostat, a safety thermostat, a thermometer and a 6.3 A fuse.
The D20 PX boiler is equipped with an exhaust fan.
The boiler is not equipped with a cooling loop against overheating, because thanks to the small amount of fuel in the burner, there is no risk of the boiler overheating in the event of a power failure.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How to choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output per one filling - it is therefore common practice to add a buffer tank to the boiler, which stores the surplus heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
- What else do I need to install this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (balancing) tank of an appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel and a flue/chimney with sufficient draft corresponding to the boiler output - exact draft values can be found in the technical parameters above.
- What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually split logs of a defined length and moisture content, or possibly brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can cause damage to the boiler.
- What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection document, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputed.
- How much maintenance does the boiler require? This normally includes regular ash removal and cleaning of the heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually on the order of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
- Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety elements should be performed or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with open fire, high temperatures and pressure components, where an installation error can be a safety risk.
