Detailed information

Product detailed description

- 99kW ecological wood gasification boiler – WOOD GAS with induced draft fan and cooling loop

It is designed for burning wood on the principle of generator gasification using an induced draft fan, which blows combustion air into the boiler.
The boiler body is manufactured as a welded construction from high-quality steel sheets with a thickness of 3 to 8 mm. It consists of a fuel hopper (6 mm), which is fitted at the bottom with a gasification nozzle with a longitudinal opening for the passage of flue gases and gases. The afterburning chamber below it is equipped with ceramic shaped parts for ideal burnout of all combustible substances with high efficiency during environmentally friendly combustion. At the rear of the boiler body there is a vertical flue gas duct, which is fitted at the top with an ignition flap. The upper part of the flue gas duct is equipped with an exhaust neck for connection to the chimney.

Basic technical data Atmos DC70S:

  • output: 99 kW
  • efficiency: 89%
  • required chimney draught: 35 Pa
  • boiler weight: 820 kg
  • water volume: 294 L
  • hopper capacity: 400 dm3
  • max. wood length: 730 mm
  • prescribed fuel: dry wood with calorific value 15 – 18 MJ/kg, diameter 80 – 150 mm and moisture 12–20%
  • minimum return water temperature: 65 °C
  • combustion class: 5
  • energy efficiency class: A+

Advantages of ATMOS wood gasification boilers:

  • ability to burn large pieces of wood
  • large fuel storage = long burning time
  • high efficiency
  • ecological combustion - boiler according to ČSN EN 303-5 class 4 and 5, ECODESIGN 2015/1189
  • exhaust fan - dust-free ash removal, smoke-free boiler room
  • cooling loop against overheating - no risk of boiler damage
  • automatic boiler shutdown after fuel burns out - flue gas thermostat
  • convenient ash removal - large ceramic combustion chamber for ash (with wood, ash is removed once a week)
  • boiler without tube bundle - easier cleaning
  • small dimensions and low weight
  • high quality

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output during one filling - it is therefore common practice to supplement the boiler with a storage tank, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
  • What else do I need for the installation of this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a storage (buffer) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler output - exact draught values can be found in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually piece wood of a defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or excessively moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation and can cause damage to the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is legally required - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler require? This normally includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually in the order of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with an open flame, high temperatures and pressure components, where an error in connection can be a safety risk.
