ATMOS DC 18 SP
Code: DC18SPProduct detailed description
- 20 kW for wood in combination with a pellet burner /4.5-15 kW/ for ecological combustion based on the principle of generator gasification
- depending on the type, the boiler allows switching between fuels, manual heating with wood and fully automatic heating with pellets. If needed, it is possible to buy the boiler without a burner, with the option of purchasing it later or using a burner from a previous boiler.
The boiler is constructed as a body with three chambers stacked on top of each other. The upper two chambers are used for wood gasification, as in classic gasification boilers. The third, lowest chamber is fitted at the front with the required burner and lined with ceramics for optimal combustion quality. The combustion systems are separated from each other by a water jacket, so they do not significantly affect each other, and thus the boiler achieves high efficiency when heating with individual fuels. Flue gas discharge into the chimney is solved by an outlet neck, so one chimney is sufficient.

Basic technical data Atmos DC18SP:
Note: The boiler is supplied without a burner. The boiler and burner are equipped with an automatic air supply closing or opening function for the boiler or burner using a servo drive when heating with wood or pellets. The boilers are equipped with a flue gas temperature sensor AGF2 and a boiler sensor KTF20 for the automatic burner start function after the wood has burned down. They are also equipped with two sensors (TV and TS) KTF20 for controlling the burner according to two temperatures on the storage tank. The whole set is thus sold in maximum equipment for fully automatic operation and easy "plug and play" installation. |

Frequently Asked Questions
- How to choose the correct output of a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output during one filling - it is therefore common practice to supplement the boiler with a storage tank, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
- What else do I need to install this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a storage (buffer) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draft corresponding to the boiler output - exact draft values can be found in the technical parameters above.
- What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually piece wood of defined length and moisture, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too wet fuel reduces efficiency, increases the formation of tar and deposits, and can damage the boiler.
- What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), an inspection/cleaning of the chimney by an authorized chimney sweep is required by law - without the relevant inspection document, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputed.
- How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually in the order of weeks), and a thorough annual inspection including seals and the chimney.
- Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with an open flame, high temperatures and pressure elements, where a connection error can be a safety risk.
