ATMOS DC 25 GD ZAP
Code: DC25GD ZAPProduct detailed description
- 25kW most modern wood gasification boiler – DOKOGEN COMFORT with automatic ignition and ACD04 equithermal control with touch display
- the Dokogen type features a special firebox lined on both sides with ceramic moldings, fitted at the bottom with openings for preheated primary air supply, a gasification nozzle with openings for secondary air supply, and a lower combustion chamber with a spherical ceramic space. The rear flue gas channel is equipped with a tube heat exchanger.
Gasification of wood (reverse combustion) with subsequent combustion of wood gas in the ceramic combustion chamber guarantees optimal burn-out of all combustible substances. Air supply and the combustion process are controlled by an induced-draft fan. This allows fast boiler start-up and good combustion right from lighting. The flame temperature is 1000–1250 °C. Reverse combustion and the ceramic combustion chamber allow practically perfect combustion with a minimum of harmful emissions. The boilers meet the limits for an Environmentally Friendly Product.
Automatic ignition is used for immediate or scheduled boiler start-up according to a time program (e.g. before arriving home or at the cottage), or according to the temperature of the buffer tank. Ignition of the fuel is very fast (approx. 5 min) and lets you arrive to a warm home.
Simple and fast lighting is ensured by an ignition coil using a small amount of pellets (a handful).
Between the upper and lower doors there is a built-in device for automatic wood ignition (a chamber with a 500W glowing coil). Quality wooden pellets are used for ignition and fill the chamber. The amount of pellets corresponds to the size of the scoop supplied with the boiler.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How to choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building; however, for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output on a single fill - it is therefore common practice to add a buffer tank to the boiler, which stores surplus heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled down.
- What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system typically requires: a buffer (balancing) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature boiler corrosion), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught corresponding to the boiler output - exact chimney draught values can be found in the technical parameters above.
- What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (typically split logs of defined length and moisture, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too damp fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can damage the boiler.
- What about chimney inspections and legislation? Before commissioning the boiler, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a chimney inspection/cleaning by an authorized chimney sweep is legally required - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
- How much maintenance does the boiler require? Normally this involves regular ash removal and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas passages from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually on the order of weeks), plus a thorough annual inspection including seals and the chimney.
- Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney, and safety elements should be carried out, or at least professionally checked, by a heating technician - this is equipment involving open flame, high temperatures, and pressurized components, where a connection error can be a safety risk.
