ATMOS DC 30 SPX
Code: DC30SPXProduct detailed description
- 30 kW for wood in combination with a pellet burner /6-20kW/ for ecological combustion based on the gasification principle
Depending on the type, the boiler allows fuel switching, manual heating with wood and fully automatic heating with pellets. If needed, it is possible to purchase the boiler without a burner, so that you can choose one later or use a burner from a previous boiler.
The boiler is constructed as a body with three chambers stacked on top of each other. The top two chambers are used for wood gasification, as in classic gasification boilers. The third, lowest chamber is fitted at the front with the required burner and lined with ceramics for optimal combustion quality. The combustion systems are separated from each other by a water jacket, so they do not significantly affect each other, and thus the boiler achieves high efficiency when heating with individual fuels. Flue gas discharge into the chimney is solved by an outlet neck, so one chimney is sufficient.
Basic technical data of Atmos DC30SPX:
Note: The boiler is supplied without a burner. The boiler and burner are equipped with an automatic air supply closing or opening function for the boiler or burner using a servo drive when heating with wood or pellets. The boilers are equipped with a flue gas temperature sensor AGF2 and a boiler sensor KTF20 for the automatic burner start function after the wood has burned out. They are further equipped with two sensors (TV and TS) KTF20 for controlling the burner according to two temperatures on the storage tank. The whole set is thus sold in maximum equipment for fully automatic operation and easy "plug and play" installation. |

Frequently Asked Questions
- How to choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Start from the calculated heat loss of the heated building, but for wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours per single filling at essentially constant output - therefore it is common practice to supplement the boiler with a storage tank, which stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled.
- What else do I need to install this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a storage (buffer) tank of appropriate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel and a flue/chimney with sufficient draft corresponding to the boiler output - you can find the exact chimney draft values in the technical parameters above.
- What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only the fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually cut wood of defined length and moisture, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation and can damage the boiler.
- What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), an inspection/cleaning of the chimney by an authorized chimney sweep is legally required - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire may also be disputable.
- How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually in the order of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
- Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with an open flame, high temperatures and pressure components, where an installation error can be a safety risk.
