ATMOS DC 70 S
Code: DC70SProduct detailed description
- 70kW ecological wood gasification boiler – WOOD GAS with induced draft fan and cooling loop
It is designed for burning wood on the principle of generator gasification using a forced draft fan that blows combustion air into the boiler.
The boiler body is welded from high-quality steel sheets 3 to 8 mm thick. It consists of a fuel hopper (6 mm) which is fitted at the bottom with a gasification nozzle with a longitudinal opening for the passage of flue gases and gases. The afterburner chamber below it is fitted with ceramic shaped blocks for ideal burnout of all combustible substances with high efficiency in environmentally friendly combustion. At the rear of the boiler body there is a vertical flue gas channel, which is fitted at the top with an ignition flap. The upper part of the flue gas channel is equipped with an exhaust neck for connection to the chimney.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How to choose the correct output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the heated building; however, with wood/coal boilers also consider that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output on a single filling - therefore it is common practice to supplement the boiler with a buffer tank that stores excess heat for later use instead of the boiler having to be inefficiently throttled.
- What else do I need to install this boiler? In addition to the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a buffer (equalizing) tank of adequate volume, a circulation pump (often already with a built-in Laddomat or thermoregulatory valve against low-temperature corrosion of the boiler), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draft corresponding to the boiler's output - exact draft values can be found in the technical parameters above.
- What fuel is suitable and what is not? Use only fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (usually split logs of a defined length and moisture content, or brown coal briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or too moist fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit formation, and can cause damage to the boiler.
- What about the chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, as well as regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), a legally required inspection/cleaning of the chimney by an authorized chimney sweep is necessary - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
- How much maintenance does the boiler require? This usually includes regular removal of ash and cleaning of heating surfaces/flue gas paths from soot (interval depending on intensity of use, usually a matter of weeks), and once a year a thorough inspection including seals and the chimney.
- Can I install the boiler myself? The actual placement and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney and safety elements should be carried out or at least professionally checked by a heating technician - this is a device with open flame, high temperatures and pressure components, where a connection error can be a safety risk.
