The electronic pump run-control switch, press control, provides the function of a pressure switch, which enables automation of the electric water pump's operation depending on a pressure drop and when the water flow in the system stops (i.e. when the device's electrical contacts open and close) - it enables self-operation of the pump or water pump station. Perfect sealing of the hydraulic connections in the system must be ensured. If a pump with a maximum permissible pressure of 8 bar is used, a pressure reducing valve must be installed at the PC-13 inlet. The device is factory-set to 1.5 bar, which is optimal for most uses. The PC-13 unit with pressure gauge starts the pump for approximately 15 seconds at the moment of connection. After that, the pump starts every time the operating pressure is reached, at the moment the pressure in the system drops, for example when a valve is opened. Unlike other pressure switches and control units, which switch off when a certain pressure is reached, the PC-13 automatic unit with pressure gauge switches off when the minimum flow value is reached. When this condition is met, the device delays switching off by 7 to 15 seconds. This reduces the frequency of pump starts at low flow.
