The AJ IBO automatic home water system with PC-16 is used mainly seasonally, especially for irrigation. This protects the pump from damage that could occur when running without water - after switching off, it is put back into operation by pressing the RESET button. An advantage of the PC-16 unit with pressure gauge is its versatility. If in the future you want to set up a home water system with a pressure tank, the PC-16 will serve as dry-run protection and a pressure switch. The IBO PC-16 control unit with pressure gauge has a built-in check valve to prevent water flowing back into the pump. Operation and basic data: When first connected, the PC-16 unit with pressure gauge starts the pump for approximately 15 seconds. After that, the pump always starts when the operating pressure is reached, i.e. when the pressure in the system drops, for example when a valve is opened. Unlike other pressure switches, which switch off once a certain pressure is reached, the PC-16 unit with pressure gauge switches off when the minimum flow value is reached. Once this condition is met, the device delays switching off by 7 to 15 seconds, which reduces how often the pump starts at low flow rates. Installation: The PC-16 unit with pressure gauge can be installed at any point between the pump and the first point of use, so that the direction of the arrow located on the underside of the device (near the thread), between the two 1" connections, matches the direction of water flow. Perfect sealing of all hydraulic connections must be ensured in the system. If a pump with a maximum permissible pressure of 10 bar is used, a pressure-reducing valve must be installed on the PC-16 inlet. The device is factory-set to 1.5 bar, which is optimal for most applications. After disconnecting the device from the mains power supply, if the hydraulic performance of the pump used allows it, the pressure can be adjusted after removing the upper cover using the screw marked with + and - signs.
