This product belongs to the group of professional automatic backup power supplies (UPS) specially designed and built for the continuous power supply of solid fuel boilers in the event of a mains power failure. In such a case, the backup power supply (UPS) provides immediate energy from the battery, so the circulation pump keeps running and the boiler cools down safely. This backup power supply can be used to keep other electrical appliances running that require stable and consistent electrical power parameters, but it should not be used as a converter. The main feature of this device is the shape of the output power curve when running on battery. The curve is a pure sine wave, identical to the main power supply from your household grid. When the main power in your home is on, the backup power supply will charge the battery and ensure the battery's long service life. The backup power supply (UPS) only works with an external 12V battery (24V battery for the 1050W model). Only a lead-acid type battery should be used, as the backup power supply is designed to charge this type of battery. The use of gel batteries is not recommended. WARNING! Be careful when handling the battery. Before connecting the backup power supply, remove any metal objects (e.g. bracelets, chains, watches, rings, etc.). This is because a short circuit could occur, resulting in metal materials becoming hot on the user's body. When connecting the battery, observe the correct polarity: red (+ positive) - the cable is connected to the + terminal, and black (- negative) - the wire is connected to the - terminal. Metal connectors are used to attach the cable to the battery terminals. Before connecting, it is recommended to clean the battery contacts with a brush. Tighten the connector with a wrench to ensure a firm contact. Install the backup power supply (UPS) in a dry location, free of moisture, away from water or snow. The installation location of the backup power supply (UPS) must be large enough not to obstruct the unit's cooling system. The location should also be free of dust or coal dust, which could block the backup power supply's fan. The installation site should be well ventilated to prevent the system from overheating. To avoid electric shock, check that all cables are in good condition and have no exposed, uninsulated sections. Operation of the backup power supply (UPS) may cause sparking. The backup power supply should not be installed in flammable environments. WARNING! The backup power supply (UPS) only works when connected to an external battery. It should not be used without a battery connected. After connecting the battery, plug the main power cable into a grounded (230V, 50Hz) socket. Connect the device you want to keep running during a power outage to the back of the unit. Follow this order: connect the battery, connect the main power supply, and then connect the consumer device to the backup power supply (UPS). To turn the unit on, press and hold the power button (ON/OFF) for 4 seconds. System operation begins with automatic detection of the battery status and mains voltage. If the battery voltage drops below 10.8V, the battery may be damaged and cannot be started. In the event of a power outage, or if the power parameters are outside the normal range, the backup power supply (UPS) will automatically switch to battery power. The switch to battery is shown on the display of the backup power supply (UPS). The device (UPS) also signals the switch to battery power with an audible alert. When the battery voltage drops below the minimum value (the battery is discharged), the backup power supply (UPS) will increase the frequency of the warning sound and disconnect the power. If the device connected to the backup power supply (UPS) exceeds the maximum output by 110%, the backup power supply (UPS) will start emitting an intermittent acoustic signal and switch off automatically. For inductive devices (e.g. water pumps and electric motors), it is recommended to use the device up to 50% of the backup power supply's (UPS) maximum output, as inductive devices may require double the power output at start-up. WARNING! Danger! Do not touch the battery terminals during operation. To stop the backup power supply (UPS), hold the ON/OFF button for 4 seconds. The backup power supply will then emit a sound signal and stop. To extend the battery's service life, it is recommended to perform a full discharge and full charge cycle of the battery at least once every 2 months. Do this even if there were no outages within the 2-month period and the battery remained fully charged the whole time. WARNING! This is only a safety device intended for use during power outages. When using this device, please do not leave it near fuel.
