Barenbrug SuperSport 1kg is a specialized mixture of ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass, designed for demanding sports areas and frequent use. The seed can withstand a high frequency of load and recovers quickly after damage.

For optimal results, professional experts recommend a dosage of up to 50g/m2 (which corresponds to 5kg per 100m2); with proper irrigation practice, this will prevent the need for overseeding.

PREPARATION:

First, you need to remove existing vegetation, weed roots, stones, and other debris. The top layer should be loosened, thoroughly watered, a 2cm thick layer of lawn substrate added, and left to settle for a week. It then needs to be rolled. Finally, it is advisable to level the soil with a rake to ensure good adhesion of the top substrate.

The optimal time for sowing a new lawn is, in an average year, around the turn of April/May, or in autumn in September/October.

When sowing the lawn, you can use a hand seeder for smaller areas to ensure even distribution of the seed, or special trailer seeders for larger areas.

Care :

A lawn that is meant to be the pride of the garden requires regular mowing (preferably using a Wiper robotic mower), regular fertilization 3 times a year (spring/mid-season/autumn), and chemical protection against pests and diseases as needed.

WARNING: before planting the lawn, consider installing a mole barrier net (approx. 3-4cm below the surface, ideally under the substrate) to make sure that all your work does not end because of this unwanted guest.
