Barenbrug SuperSport 5kg is a specialized mixture of perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass, designed for demanding sports areas as well as heavily used lawns. This seed mixture withstands high intensity loading and quickly restores its green cover.

Coverage: 5 kg/ 150 - 250 m ²

For optimal results, experts recommend a sowing rate of up to 50g/m2 (which corresponds to 5kg per 100m2); with the correct irrigation strategy, this way you avoid the need for additional overseeding.

PREPARATION:

First, it is necessary to clear the land of weeds, stones, roots and old vegetation. Thoroughly loosen the top soil layer, water it thoroughly, cover with a 2cm thick layer of turf substrate and let it settle for approximately a week. Then roll the area and finally level the soil with a rake for good coverage of the top layer.

The optimal time for sowing a new lawn (under normal conditions) is at the turn of April and May, or in autumn in September or October.

When sowing or regenerating a lawn area, ensure even distribution of the seed using a hand seeder for smaller areas, or trolley seeders for larger areas.

MAINTENANCE :

Care :

A lawn serving as a garden decoration requires regular mowing (preferably with an automatic Wiper mower), nutrient replenishment three times a year (spring, transitional and autumn fertilization) and chemical protection against pests and diseases as needed.

NOTE: before planting a lawn, we recommend considering the placement of a mole net (approx. 3-4cm below the surface, ideally under the substrate), to avoid a situation where the result of your work is ruined by this unwanted guest.
