Big Blue Cartridge 10" LA-SX Carbon, Refillable Cartridge made of granular carbon with high absorption capacity. The cartridge eliminates unwanted odor and taste in water caused by chlorine and other organic substances. It removes volatile organic compound chlorides. Household use: Thorough removal of chlorine from water. Suitable not only for drinking and cooking, but also for showering and bathing. Technical use: Chlorine treatment in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, pre-treatment of reverse osmosis units. Average service life: 3-6 months (strongly depends on the quality of the input water) Maintenance: The cartridge is designed as a refillable transparent container, where the active filling can be easily replaced with a new one. Recommendation: Use a mechanical pre-filter to protect the cartridge. Designed for 10" SENIOR Big Blue filter housings. Notice: Before first using a filter with this cartridge, we recommend flushing the “LA” filter cartridge with approx. 3 to 5 liters of water and letting this water drain away. During this flushing, small particles of activated carbon that formed from the filling breaking up during transport may be released. This occurs only once and will not happen again in the future.
