Big Blue cartridge 20" LA-SX carbon, refillable Cartridge made of granular carbon with high absorption capacity. The cartridge eliminates unwanted odor and taste in water caused by chlorine and other organic substances. Removes chlorine by-products of volatile organic compounds. Household use: Thorough treatment of water against chlorine. Suitable not only for drinking and cooking, but also for showering and bathing. Technical use: Chlorine treatment in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, pre-treatment of reverse osmosis units. Average service life: 3-6 months (largely depends on the quality of the inlet water) Maintenance: The cartridge is designed as a refillable transparent container, where the active fill can be easily replaced with new. Recommendation: Use a mechanical pre-filter to protect the cartridge. Designed for 20" MASTER Big Blue filter housings. Notice: Before first use of a filter with this cartridge, we recommend flushing the "LA" filter cartridge with approx. 3 to 5 l of water and letting this water drain away. During this flushing, small particles of activated carbon that were formed by the fill breaking up during transport may be released.
