Big Blue Cation Exchange cartridge 20" QA CF-SX limescale The cation exchange cartridge is used to reduce water hardness. It is a refillable transparent BIG container filled with cation exchange resin that works in a sodium cycle. As water flows through, it replaces calcium and magnesium ions in the water with sodium ions. Increases the sodium content of the outlet water. Pre-filtration is, however, required. The cation exchange fill is regenerated with a table salt solution. The service life of the cation exchange cartridge depends on the calcium and magnesium content of the water. Household use: Filtration of drinking water. Technical use: High-quality filtration of water with neutral pH (pH=7). Maintenance: None.
