Product detailed description
Buderus is one of the oldest and most respected heating technology brands in Europe – its manufacturing tradition dates back to 1731. Today, Buderus is part of the Bosch Thermotechnik group, which means that every product is backed by German engineering, strict quality control, and years of experience in developing heat sources, cylinders and control technology. Thanks to this, customers can be confident they are investing in a solution designed for years of reliable operation.
Compact wall-mounted Buderus Logalux H65W cylinder
Buderus Set H65W is a compact, indirectly heated cylinder with a volume of 65 litres, designed to be mounted directly on the wall next to a wall-hung boiler. It is an ideal solution where there is not enough floor space for a floor-standing cylinder, yet hot water storage is still required instead of instantaneous heating – thanks to the cylinder, hot water is available immediately, without waiting for the instantaneous heater in the boiler to warm up.
The small yet efficient dimensions of the H65W make this cylinder a popular choice for apartments, smaller family houses, cottages, or as an addition to an already existing heating system, where only a local improvement of hot water comfort in one household is needed.
What's included in the set
The H65W set includes:
- Logalux H65.2 W-C (code 7735501706, 1 pc)
- Mounting kit for the H65W cylinder (code 8718540942, 1 pc)
- Logafix expansion vessel D8, 10bar, white (code 80432070, 1 pc)
- Logafix AirfixControl (code 7747201056, 1 pc)
- Bracket for expansion vessel MB2 (code 12222017, 1 pc)
The Logalux H65.2 W-C cylinder itself is complemented by a mounting kit that includes the necessary brackets and fasteners for mounting the cylinder on the wall and its hydraulic connection to the boiler. The Logafix D8 expansion vessel (10 bar) and the AirfixControl safety valve form the safety circuit that protects the cylinder against excessive pressure, while the MB2 mounting bracket ensures secure attachment of the expansion vessel.
How to choose the right cylinder size
A volume of 65 litres is suitable primarily for a household of 1-2 people or as an additional solution with light hot water consumption (e.g. kitchen, small bathroom). For a higher number of household members or where greater comfort is required (e.g. a bathtub), we recommend considering a larger cylinder, as with 65 litres, more intensive draw-off can quickly deplete the hot water supply before the boiler reheats it.
Frequently asked questions
Is the H65W suitable for mounting next to any boiler?
The cylinder is designed as a wall-mounted unit and is suitable for combination with common wall-hung boilers; exact compatibility (wall load capacity, dimensions) should be verified before installation.
Can a standard partition wall bear the weight of a full cylinder?
Not always - in the case of plasterboard or other lightweight partitions, suitable anchoring elements must be used, or the cylinder must be fixed to a load-bearing wall; leave this assessment to the installation company.
Is 65 litres enough for a family of 4?
For a higher number of people, the volume may be limiting, especially with simultaneous draw-off from multiple points; in that case, consider a larger floor-standing cylinder, such as the S120.
Does the set include a safety valve?
Yes, the AirfixControl safety valve is included together with the Logafix D8 expansion vessel.
Can the cylinder be used without the mounting plate?
The mounting kit is included in the set precisely to ensure a complete and safe installation; omitting it is not recommended.
How quickly does the cylinder reheat after draw-off?
The reheating speed depends on the output of the connected boiler; with common wall-hung boilers, it usually takes a few minutes.
Installation and operation
The installation of the cylinder and its connection to the heating or, where applicable, solar circuit must be carried out exclusively by a qualified person with appropriate authorization – this involves work on hot water, gas or electrical systems as well as work with pressure vessels, where incorrect installation can jeopardize operational safety and warranty validity. Before installation, we recommend checking that there is sufficient space for service access at the installation site (especially to the heat exchangers, anode and sensors), that the floor can bear the weight of the filled cylinder, and that drainage of any water from the safety valve is ensured.
After connection, the cylinder must be filled, vented, and the control technology (sensors, or solar circuit control if applicable) set according to the project documentation and the manufacturer's instructions. Regular service inspections – checking the anode, tightness, pressure in the expansion vessel and function of the safety valve – extend the cylinder's service life and reduce the risk of unexpected failure.
Warranty and service
Buderus products are generally covered by a 2-year statutory warranty. When the appliance is registered via the official Buderus portal and commissioned by an authorized service technician, an extended warranty on the cylinder's heat exchanger can typically be obtained under standard conditions – we recommend verifying the exact terms and length of the extended warranty directly during product registration or with an authorized Buderus service partner. The Buderus service network in Slovakia is extensive, spare parts are readily available, and by following the installation and maintenance instructions, you can expect years of trouble-free operation from the cylinder.
