Buderus Logalux S120 domestic hot water storage tank, light version
Buderus Set S120 light, white is an indirectly heated storage water heater with a volume of 120 litres, designed for domestic hot water preparation in combination with a gas or other boiler. The designation "S" (Speicher) refers to a classic storage tank with a single heat exchanger, through which heating water from the boiler flows and transfers heat to the domestic water in the tank. The "light" version represents a reduced, more affordable variant of the set – it includes the storage tank itself and a basic temperature sensor, without the additional expansion vessel and safety components that are part of the full S120 set.
This variant is particularly suitable where a safety circuit (expansion vessel, safety valve) already exists in the installation or will be addressed separately, or when the customer prefers a simpler and cheaper solution for a smaller apartment or cottage. The white casing of the storage tank is durable, easy to maintain and visually unobtrusive in a utility room.

How to choose the right storage tank size
A volume of 120 litres is typically suitable for a household of 2 to 3 people with normal hot water consumption (showering, kitchen), or for a smaller apartment or cottage with lower simultaneous demand. If your household regularly experiences simultaneous draw-off from multiple points (bathroom and kitchen at the same time) or if there are more household members, we recommend considering a larger volume, such as the 160-litre S160 model. Precise sizing also depends on the output of the connected boiler, which determines the heating speed (recovery time) of the storage tank.

After connection, the storage tank must be filled, vented, and the control technology (sensors, or solar circuit control if applicable) set according to the project documentation and the manufacturer's instructions. Regular servicing – checking the anode, tightness, pressure in the expansion vessel and function of the safety valve – extends the service life of the storage tank and reduces the risk of unexpected failure.
