The CAPO hand earth auger with a thread diameter of 100 mm is an ideal helper if you are about to plant shrubs or trees, or if you are building a fence and need to install new posts.
This hand auger is characterized by its shape. The auger consists of a rubberized handle welded to the shaft and blade in a "T" shape. Combined with hardened boron steel, this construction allows more force to be applied when digging holes. However, thanks to the thread design, digging will otherwise be relatively easy.

How to Use the Auger
Insert the tip of the auger at the spot where you plan to dig a hole, so that the thread touches the ground. Turning it clockwise will start the auger drilling into the ground. In the video below, you can see how the CAPO auger works. Unlike a hand auger with a spiral shape (first part of the video), there is no significant throwing out of soil. Instead, the soil layers up within the dug hole, which means less effort is required.Current auger models are now equipped with a depth marking on the shaft, allowing you to know when you have reached the desired depth. Choosing the Auger Diameter
CAPO augers are manufactured in 5 different variants with thread diameters from 100 to 250 mm. The thread diameter determines how wide the dug hole will be. The diameters of the most popular fence posts are up to 50 mm, which is why augers up to 150 mm are sufficient for installing posts. On the other hand, when planting new shrubs, trees, or perennials in the garden, it is recommended to dig holes with diameters from 20 cm, in which case you should choose an auger with a larger diameter.
All remaining auger parameters are identical.
Boron Steel and Extended 5-Year Warranty
CAPO tools are made of ultra-hardened boron steel (also known as Finnish steel). This gives the cylinders excellent strength and long-term resistance to material wear, which results in a significantly long service life even under otherwise unfavorable conditions.
That is why the manufacturer provides an extended five-year warranty on CAPO brand products. If a defect occurs on the cylinder at any time during the first five years of use, send it to us and we will immediately send you a new, undamaged product back.
What to Buy Along with the Auger
Unlike motorized augers, CAPO hand augers are characterized by easy use and are maintenance-free. No additional accessories are needed to drill holes. However, for greater comfort while digging holes, we recommend getting work gloves. For accurately measuring the placement of holes for fence posts, a level, tape measure, measuring tape or string line may also come in handy. Small stones in the ground can be dealt with using a crowbar.
When planting plants in the garden, soil with the necessary nutrients for growth may come in handy, which you can further work with a shovel or rake.
Packaging and Delivery Method
We will deliver the product to you via standard parcel shipping, and it will be packaged so that it is not damaged during transport. The actual packaging method depends on the number of pieces ordered and other items in the order. A single cylinder will most often be packed in a cardboard box and stretch film.
