Carbon Cartridge LA Eliminates unwanted odor and taste in water caused by chlorine and other organic substances. Removes pesticides, insecticides and chlorine solvents. Household use: Thorough removal of chlorine from water. Suitable not only for drinking and cooking but also for showering and bathing. Technical use: Dechlorination in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, pre-treatment for reverse osmosis units. A mechanical pre-filter must be used to protect the cartridge. Note: Before first use of the filter with this cartridge, we recommend rinsing the "LA" filter cartridge with approx. 3 to 5 liters of water and letting this water drain away. During this rinsing, small particles of activated carbon that formed from the filling breaking up during transport may be flushed out. This is a one-time occurrence and will not happen again in the future. The cartridge will continue to perform its function reliably.
