Filter cartridge 20" QA CF-SX The cation resin cartridge is used to reduce water hardness. It is a removable container filled with cation exchange resin that works in the sodium cycle. As water flows through it, calcium and magnesium ions in the water are replaced with sodium ions. It increases the sodium content in the outgoing water. Pre-filtration is required. The cation resin is regenerated with a table salt solution. The service life of the cation cartridge depends on the calcium and magnesium content in the water. Domestic use: Drinking water filtration. Technical use: High-quality water filtration with neutral pH (pH=7). Maintenance: None. Recommendation: Use a mechanical pre-filter to protect the cartridge.
