This water meter chamber with a volume of 1.5 m3 is made from 6 mm and 8 mm thick polypropylene sheets joined by welding. It is used to house the water meter where a building is connected to the water mains. The height of the water meter chamber is 1600mm and the diameter of the chamber body is 1200mm. Installing the water meter chamber: The chamber is sufficiently reinforced, so in cases where there is no groundwater and the chamber will not be driven over or located near a road, it is enough to place the water meter chamber on a concrete base and backfill it evenly with sand or sifted soil. Even though this chamber is watertight, if groundwater is present, if it will be subject to vehicle traffic, or if the chamber is located near a road, it must be encased in concrete to ensure that groundwater cannot penetrate to the chamber walls. We do not recommend using an incompletely backfilled water meter chamber, as it could be damaged during winter. Handling this water meter chamber at temperatures below -3 °C is prohibited.
