Why with a filter: A standard corner valve shuts off the water supply, but does not protect the tap or appliance from sand, scale or debris left over from installation. This model has a built-in strainer cartridge right in the body, which catches these impurities – especially useful on new pipework or after a pipe repair.

Where to use it: under a washbasin, sink, by the washing machine, or as a shut-off valve ahead of an apartment water meter. Both connections are G1/2″ – one side for the supply pipe, the other for the connecting hose to the tap.
