The desanding filter is used for effective cleaning of water from sand and impurities up to 130 mcr on the suction side for self-priming pumps. Using the desanding filter protects the pump by preventing sand particles or other abrasive substances from entering the pump during suction, thus preventing wear or destruction of the pump's impellers. By unscrewing the bottom cover of the filter, the cartridge can be very easily rinsed under running water, restoring its full functionality. The filter is designed to protect the entire water system, from the pump suction through the discharge to the points of use. Among the most common symptoms of pump wear caused by sand are reduced pump performance, as well as pressure loss in the system.
