DLF Turfline Ornamental Park H&D grass mixture 1 kg is a densely growing and resistant composition designed for ornamental areas. The grasses in this mixture ensure a low and compact lawn development. The seed is suitable not only for sunny locations but also for shaded areas. It is characterized by fast recovery after damage.

Package coverage: 1kg/ 30 - 40 m ²

For optimal results, experts recommend a dose of up to 50g/m2 (i.e. 5kg per 100m2), and with proper irrigation you will avoid the need for further reseeding.

Composition:

PREPARATION:

First, it is advisable to remove old growth, roots, weeds and stones. The top layer should be loosened, thoroughly watered, a 2cm layer of lawn substrate applied and left to settle for about a week. It then needs to be rolled. Finally, it is advisable to level the surface with a rake, which loosens the top layer of soil.

The ideal time to plant a new lawn is (in an average year) at the turn of April/May, or in autumn in September/October.

When sowing, for an even distribution of the grass seed, we recommend using a hand seeder for small areas, or seed spreaders/carts for larger volumes.

MAINTENANCE :

Mowing :

The lawn is mowed for the first time when it reaches a height of about 6-8 cm. It is mowed for the second time to a height of 3-4cm. Later, the mowing height can be adjusted depending on the type of seed used. For park-type seed, the mowed grass height should be about 2.5 cm.

Care:

A lawn that is meant to be a garden ornament requires regular mowing (ideally using a Wiper robotic mower), nutrient supply 3 times a year (spring/intermediate/autumn fertilization), and chemical treatment against diseases and pests as needed.

NOTE: before planting a lawn, also consider placing a mole net (about 5-6cm below the surface, i.e. ideally under the substrate) to make sure that all your work is not ruined by this unwelcome guest.
