The durable DLF Turfline Sport grass seed mix weighing 7.5 kg is designed for areas with high physical demands. Thanks to the presence of perennial ryegrass (QuickAction®), the seed achieves fast germination, while the resulting turf is characterized by density and speed of regeneration after heavy load or damage.

PREPARATION:

Before planting, clear the surface of weeds, stones and old vegetation. Loosen the top layer of soil, water thoroughly, add a 2 cm thick layer of lawn substrate, and after a week of settling, roll it and then level it with a rake to ensure good seed adhesion.

The most suitable planting period is (under average conditions) the turn of April and May or the autumn months of September and October.

To ensure even sowing, we recommend using a hand seeder for small areas and cart-type seeders for larger areas.

MAINTENANCE :

Mowing :

Perform the first mowing when the grass reaches a height of approximately 6 to 8 cm, and the second mowing at a height of 3 to 4 cm. Later, you can adjust the mower height according to the type of seed used; for sports lawns, an ideal height is about 3 cm.

Care:

A decorative lawn requires regular mowing (ideally using a robotic mower such as Wiper), nutrient application three times a year (spring, transitional and autumn fertilization), and chemical protection against pests and diseases as needed.

NOTE: before planting, consider installing a mole netting (approximately 5 to 6 cm below the surface, i.e. under the substrate) to prevent this unwanted guest from damaging all your work.

COMPLETE SPECIFICATION OF THE STARTER FERTILIZER

When establishing a new lawn, choosing quality seed or turf as well as a suitable fertilizer is key. KRIKETS starter fertilizer contains an increased amount of phosphorus (P), which supports root system development and ensures the rapid formation of a compact turf. Sufficient phosphorus availability immediately after sowing increases the chance of successful rooting, while a higher nitrogen (N) content stimulates rapid grass growth.

For optimal results, it is advisable to work the phosphorus fertilizer deeper than the seed, ideally before planting or under the turf. Alternatively, it can also be applied as support after each sowing or overseeding. After sowing, we recommend rolling the area and watering it with 10 mm of water to settle the seeds and fertilizer granules.

After applying the fertilizer, the area must be watered generously.
