The resilient DLF Turfline Sport 1kg mix is designed for physically demanding grass areas. The presence of perennial ryegrass (QuickAction®) guarantees fast seed germination. The lawn features dense, compact growth and regenerates quickly after damage or heavy stress.

Coverage: 1kg/ 30 - 40 m ²

For optimal results, we recommend professionals apply up to 50g/m2 (equivalent to 5kg per 100m2); with proper irrigation, this will help avoid the need for reseeding.

• Kentucky bluegrass - Poa Pratensis GEISHA - 10%
• Chewings fescue - Festuca Rubra Commutata CASANOVA - 10%
• Slender creeping red fescue - Festuca Rubra Rubra MAXIMA 1 - 45%
• Sheep's fescue - Festuca ovina Trychyphylla RIDU - 5%

PREPARATION:

First remove old vegetation, roots, weeds and stones. Loosen the top layer, water thoroughly, apply a 2cm layer of the grass mix and let it rest for a week. Then roll the area and finally level it with a rake, ensuring good loosening of the topsoil layer.

The ideal time for planting a new lawn is (on average) the transition from April to May or autumn in September/October.

For even sowing, we recommend using a hand seeder for smaller areas and cart seeders for larger areas.

MAINTENANCE :

Mowing :

Carry out the first mowing of the lawn once it reaches a height of approx. 6-8 cm. Perform the second mowing at a height of 3-4cm. Later, determine the mowing height according to the type of seed. For sport seed mixes, the mowed grass height should be approximately 3cm.

Care:

A lawn as garden decoration requires regular mowing (ideally using a robotic mower such as Wiper), regular nutrient supply 3 times a year (spring/transitional/autumn fertilization) and chemical protection against pests and diseases as needed.

NOTE: before planting a lawn, also consider laying a mole net (approx. 5-6cm below the surface, i.e. under the substrate) to avoid unnecessary damage caused by this unwanted visitor.
