The durable DLF Turfline Sport grass mixture, weighing 7.5 kg, is designed for areas with high physical demands. The content of perennial ryegrass (QuickAction®) ensures rapid seed germination, while the resulting lawn grows densely and compactly and regenerates quickly after heavy use or damage.

Professionals achieve optimal results by applying up to 50 g per square meter (i.e. 5 kg per 100 m²); with proper irrigation practice, this helps avoid the need for additional overseeding.

PREPARATION:

Preparing the land first involves removing old vegetation, stones, weeds, and debris. The top layer needs to be loosened, thoroughly moistened, covered with a 2 cm layer of special lawn substrate, and left to settle for about a week, then rolled. Finally, it is advisable to level the soil with a rake, ensuring a well-loosened surface layer.

The most suitable time for planting a new lawn (in a typical year) is late April to early May, or in autumn during September or October.

When sowing or regenerating a lawn, ensure even seed distribution by using a hand seeder for smaller areas, while for larger areas, cart-type seeders are more suitable.

MAINTENANCE :

Mowing :

Perform the first mowing when the lawn reaches a height of approximately 6 to 8 cm. The second mowing should be done at a height of 3 to 4 cm. You can further adjust the mowing height depending on the type of seed mixture used; for sports seed, we recommend maintaining a height of about 3 cm.

Care:

A lawn that serves as a decorative garden element requires regular mowing (ideally using a Wiper robotic mower), regular fertilization three times a year (spring, mid-season, autumn), and chemical protection against diseases and pests as needed.

NOTE: before planting a lawn, consider installing a mole-proof net (about 5 to 6 cm below the surface, ideally under the substrate) to make sure all your hard work doesn't end up ruined by this unwanted visitor.
