Dropson EMI is a maintenance-free solution to protect water against limescale.

It uses patented EMI (Electromagnetic Impulse) technology, which uses electromagnetic impulses to change the structure of calcium and magnesium minerals in water. This prevents them from settling in pipes, fittings and appliances.

Unlike traditional softeners:

• it uses no chemicals,
• it does not change the composition of the water (minerals remain preserved),
• no consumable medium - no salt or resin,

Recommended and unsuitable use of the Dropson EMI device

Recommended applications

The Dropson EMI device is ideal for use in households and technical systems where protection against limescale formation is needed. It is especially suitable for:

• treatment of drinking water and domestic hot water (DHW),
• protection of sanitary equipment – taps, aerators, shower heads, etc.,
• reduction of biofilm formation – prevention of bacterial growth, e.g. legionella,
• household appliances – dishwashers, washing machines, coffee machines, etc.,
• lower consumption of detergents and softer laundry,
• irrigation systems, recirculation and water tanks,
• swimming pools – exclusively for the return flow (requires a special model),
• boilers and heat exchangers – in secondary circuits,
• solar water heating systems – in the secondary circuit.

Unsuitable applications

Dropson EMI is not intended for certain types of equipment or specific conditions. Do not use it in:

• steam generators,
• primary circuits of heating systems,
• steam irons and ironing systems,
• removing limescale stains on solid surfaces (tiles, metal surfaces – applies only to flowing water),
• automatic car washes.

Important notice

• When using a type of water other than municipal water (e.g. well, borehole or technical water), a water analysis must be carried out in order to select the appropriate type of device.
• A mechanical pre-filter must be installed before the Dropson EMI device mechanical pre-filter (25 µm), which will capture floating impurities. This prevents damage to sensitive components such as aerators, fittings, taps, water heaters, showers and other devices.
