Uses of the Big Blue 10" filter housing

• as a pre-filter before softening devices, to protect them from mechanical impurities (sand, gravel, rust, clay, mud, etc.)
• for carbon filtration (removing chlorine and its compounds, or improving the taste and smell of water)
• or also separately with various cartridges* sized 10 x 4.5"

*Since the filter has a diameter of 4" - compared to other 10-inch filters - it has a larger filtration area, and therefore also a lower pressure drop.
