Building your own battery storage? Don't underestimate insulation. This ultra-thin yet extremely durable epoxy board is a crucial safety element of every professional LiFePO4 pack.
When prismatic (box-type) cells are stacked on top of each other, they slightly expand and contract during charging cycles. Without sufficient insulation between the aluminum cell casings, the blue insulating film can be punctured, resulting in a catastrophic short circuit. Our FR4 epoxy board is designed exactly for this purpose.

- Extreme electrical strength: FR4 material has excellent dielectric properties. Even at a thickness of only 0.5 mm, it provides a 100% barrier against breakdown between cells.
- Mechanical stability and abrasion protection: the aluminum casings of the cells must not rub against each other. The epoxy board acts as a mechanical separator that withstands the pressures created when cells are compressed in the battery box.
- High heat resistance. This board is non-flammable and stable even at elevated temperatures, increasing the fire safety of the entire system.
