Accessories: universal container for ATZ fabric silos, 2 x STORZ A110, anchoring, etc.

Large fabric silos are designed for convenient storage of pellets for the heating season. The silo can be placed directly in the boiler room or in an adjacent space. Another option is to place the silo in an enclosed outdoor space so that it is not exposed to sunlight, rain, wind, or excessive moisture. ATZ silos are designed for pneumatic filling of pellets from a tanker. For this purpose they are fitted with two STORZ A110 flanges, which can be positioned on any two sides. The fabric silo is also equipped with two openings through which the silo can be filled by hand from bags or big bags. The delivery also includes a universal container located at the bottom of the silo, fitted with a pneumatic probe for pneumatic pellet transport, or a flange enabling pellets to be drawn by a screw conveyor (type DAxxxx and DRA50) into the A 25, A 45, or A 85 burner. In these cases we recommend using a conveyor length of at least 2.5 m; 3; 4; or 5 m. The silo is built as a steel structure that ensures easy assembly, into which a fabric bag made of durable material with a special internal treatment is suspended to reduce moisture penetration into the pellet storage space. No special floor construction work is required before installing the silo. You only need to consider the useful load of the ceiling structure. The silos are manufactured in three usable-space sizes: 5.5; 6.5, and 7.9 m3. The silo type, or the frequency of pellet refills, can be determined as follows: 1 kW of required output = 0.5 m3 (325 kg) of pellets per year.

The universal container is fitted with a pneumatic probe and an interchangeable reducer enabling direct pellet intake by a screw conveyor from the fabric silo. It includes a closing mechanism and a cleaning opening.
ATTENTION! It is included with every ATZ silo and is purchased separately only in case of replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I choose the right output for a solid fuel boiler? Base your choice on the calculated heat loss of the building being heated. For wood/coal boilers, also keep in mind that the boiler burns for several hours at essentially constant output on a single fill - which is why it's common practice to add a buffer (accumulation) tank to the boiler, storing surplus heat for later use instead of forcing the boiler to run inefficiently throttled down.
  • What else do I need to install this boiler? Besides the boiler itself, the system usually requires: a suitably sized buffer (accumulation) tank, a circulation pump (often already fitted with a Laddomat or a thermoregulatory valve to protect the boiler against low-temperature corrosion), a safety valve, an expansion vessel, and a flue/chimney with sufficient draught matching the boiler's output - exact chimney draught values can be found in the technical parameters above.
  • What fuel is suitable, and what isn't? Use only fuel recommended by the manufacturer for the given model (typically split logs of a defined length and moisture content, or lignite briquettes or coal depending on the boiler type) - unsuitable or overly damp fuel reduces efficiency, increases tar and deposit build-up, and can damage the boiler.
  • What about chimney inspection and legislation? Before putting the boiler into operation, and regularly during its use (usually once a year for solid fuels), the chimney must by law be inspected/cleaned by an authorized chimney sweep - without the relevant inspection certificate, an insurance claim in the event of a fire could also be disputed.
  • How much maintenance does the boiler need? This typically includes regularly removing ash and cleaning the heat exchange surfaces/flue gas passages of soot (interval depending on usage intensity, usually a matter of weeks), plus a thorough annual inspection including seals and the chimney.
  • Can I install the boiler myself? The positioning and connection of the boiler to the heating system, chimney, and safety components should be carried out, or at least professionally inspected, by a heating technician - this is equipment involving open flame, high temperatures, and pressurized components, where an installation error can pose a safety risk.
